Text Box: Sharron Angle Reports New Fundraising Numbers
Congressional Candidate Maintains Fundraising Strength in 4th Quarter
Reno, NV – Assemblywoman Sharron Angle, an anti-tax Legislator running for Congress, filed her campaign’s third fundraising report with the Federal Election Commission.  Angle reported having raised $ 99,865.05 during the period from October 1 through December 30, and has raised $363,883.61 thus far in the campaign.  Angle has retained most of the contributions in the bank, showing $314,935.38 on hand.
Although Angle did not begin fundraising until June of 2005 after the end of the Legislative session, she has already received donations from nearly 2600 supporters.  Her average donation to date is $140.00.
Angle’s campaign is being enthusiastically supported by conservatives from all fifty states, with her highest percentage of contributors residing in Nevada.  Donors backing Angle’s campaign include Congressman Mike Pence (R-IN), chairman of the House Republican Study Committee (RSC).  The RSC is the House's only conservative caucus.
Angle, a strong advocate for lower taxes and less government, is currently finishing her fourth term in the Nevada legislature.  She is known for her tough conservative stands against tax and fee increases of all kinds.  Mrs. Angle led the fight against the 2003 state tax increase, and has been an outspoken defender of the state’s constitutional two-thirds majority vote requirement for tax increases.
