Angle gets ready to open campaign office

Sharron Angle , U.S. Congressional candidate for Nevada District 2, has announced the grand opening of her new office for Monday, May 1 at the Airport Plaza. The office opening coincides with the first day candidates can file for office.

According to Angle, she needs more space to operate her campaign and more space for the number of volunteers offering to help her in her race for Congress.

"Our campaign has increased momentum. We needed more space to operate," Angle said. "Nevadans are volunteering to be involved in this race. They are excited to be a part of this conservative movement."

A four-term Assemblywoman, Angle is known for campaigning against higher taxes and for less government. She has received local and nationwide attention from conservatives who support what she calls "a Reagan vision of economic growth through limited government and lower taxes."

Angle's endorsements for Congress include the National Conservative Campaign Fund, the Club For Growth, the Concerned Women PAC, the Susan B. Anthony List, Nevada Independent Conservative PAC, the Madison Project, Nevada Concerned Citizens, and 60 Votes Coalition, among others. She has also received backing from elected conservatives such as Congressman Mike Pence, R-IN, Chairman of the Republican Study Committee, and Congresswoman Marilyn Musgrave, R-CO, the lead sponsor of the Federal Marriage Amendment in the House.

Responding to this growing outpouring of conservative support, Angle commented that she doesn't always take on the most popular fight, but she takes on the battles that are important to Nevada.

"Sometimes the conservative fights I've taken on are not popular with the lobbyists and the political insiders, but I've always known that they were right for the taxpayers and families of Nevada," she said. "That's why I'm so grateful to receive such strong support from conservatives in the state and around the nation. I greatly look forward to this campaign and to bringing Nevada's conservative principles to Washington."

The public is invited to attend the grand opening, located at 1755 East Plumb Lane Suite 162 in Reno next to the Airport Plaza Hotel on Monday, May 1. The event starts at 3 p.m. and will continue until around 7 p.m. Angle will be on hand to meet with constituents and talk about issues that concern Nevadans.
