Text Box: ANGLE TO MAKE ANNOUCEMENT CONCERNING CONGRESSIONAL RACE Press Conference: Las Vegas, NV Assemblywoman Sharron Angle will be in Las Vegas, NV this Thursday June 9, 2005 at 9:30 AM at Boulder Station Hotel & Casino inside the Railhead Room to make an announcement concerning her candidacy for Congress in District 2.  Assemblywoman Angle is one of Nevada’s most conservative voices. The Republican from Reno has a reputation for consistently voting against tax increases, and is the sponsor of a statewide ballot initiative to restrain property taxes. “I fight hard for fiscal responsibility, representing the voice of the people of Nevada. Washington like Nevada has money, but they lack the will-power to control spending” Angle said. Congressman Jim Gibbons is expected to vacate the 2nd Congressional District seat, which covers most of the state outside of the Las Vegas Valley to run for governor in 2006. Mrs. Angle will speak briefly on pressing state and national issues, and will answer questions.
